I didn't really care about the contest part, this project just spoke to me and was a good way for me to stay sane for the last month. So, side project over, back to work.

This is the problem with asking me to choose favorite weapons, cuz I just can't do it! There's my real world favs, favs to draw and video game preferences. Here my character is carrying the M16, my favorite real world rifle and to draw. Though in L4D my favorites go M16 -> AK47 -> GLauncher -> M60. And I highlight the M60 to go with the frag rounds because in my online team, my job is anti-tank duty. That usually means using the AK or Grenade Launcher as I find it, but the M60 is just the best weapon for the job, though it doesn't have much longevity.
I originally was going to go with the dual Colts from L4D as my sidarm due to their superior accuracy as well as being another of my favorite real world guns. Then I found out that the Magnum pistol (and M60) is a 1-shot kills on common infected in any difficulty mode as well as penetrating, so I couldn't argue artistically anymore.

This character is an officer in an unammed Georgia SWAT team. His team's job was originally to guard Mercy Hospital from the infection and to move as many survivors there as possible. Then their job became getting those people out as quickly as possible as the infection spread through the building.

He prefers to remain in the cities with their alleys and stairs forming controllable choke points and readily available barricades. Tall buildings also offer good places to hold out until rescue choppers arrive. For most survivors rooftops can be hazardous dead ends but his team always has ropes, flares, explosives, radios and rations to help their chances.

Now his team has dwindled and all he can do is continue to help those survivors he finds to evacuate. He has a personal hatred of Smokers and Tanks especially. He's always positioning himself with the expectation that one or the other will appear from nowhere at any second.
