This character was updated for use in this project from a camouflage test image I did a while back. She is the primary character in the story.

Snake and Deunan Knute
I originally made this character after playing Metal Gear Solid 3. Her character follows the same conceptual format as Snake.
The original character image was taken directly from this piece by Shirow Masamune. [link]
It was only meant to provide me with a black and white linework base to test different camo patterns on.
When I implemented her as a character for this project, I had forgotten what I had done.
At one point, a watcher made the distinction that she resembled Deunan Knute (Appleseed, Shirow Masamune), which makes perfect sense. She now carries the name "Shiro" as a more direct nod to Shirow Masamune.

The Spetsnaz
The character was supposed to be of Russian + Chinese decent. (Eva from MGS3 anybody?) But her origins never needed detailing. However, her involvement with the mission and personal stats still required some explanation.

So that's why she's a Captain too, cuz you're supposed to be at least a Captain with 5 years of Special Forces experience before you can become a Spetsnaz if this guy is correct.
