I'm going to be looking for ALL of YOU there. ^^
It turns out we will NOT be showing or selling "The Last Royal" after all. Nor will i have any prints available either.
*holds in rage*
So I'll just be bumming around on the floor.
See ya there!
People for sure on my list (there are more)
AND I'M OFF!
------------------------------------------
AND...I'M BACK!
Alright what all happened to me, I know let me go and give you way more information than you possibly care about!
LAX:
BIG FRIKKIN AIRPORT! But I handled it fine. I know most of the folks I talked to were local. And thank you American Airlines for almost FUCKING me over with your $15 to check your bag nickel and dime shit!
PRIME TIME shuttle service:
I managed to screw up and leave my BEST and favorite hat in the van. Oh I was raging until I figured out where it was. Luckily, they had it, but they dropped the ball, and now I'm having to pay to have it FedEx'ed to me here in Michigan.
The Figueroa Hotel:
I actually really liked this place. It was 2 blocks away from the convention center (5 min walk). It was cheap by comparison and we didn't have to take a bus to get to the con. It's a cozy sort of Mexican heritage themed place. I would stay there again, but I'll tell ya, those spanish classes came in handy!
The Staples Center and Michael Jackson:
Every day we crossed the Staples Center, we crossed a blocked off street (made our lives easier actually) where people were preparing for the MJ tribute. Nothing really interesting to see until a group of bikers showed up on Sunday. But the news crews were REDICULOUS!
The Yard House:
We ate here once every day. Sort of a bar and grill. It's pricey, starting at $10-15, but the serivce is good, as well as their lobster dip. OH! And it's the only place yet that I've been to that serves woodchuck cider, even if they did way overcharge me for it (1 pint = $6.25 / 6 pack at grocery = $8.50)
The Con floor:
My GOD what a madhouse! With several thousand people that place was crammed. Folks, you really need to learn about the concepts of traffic control and paying attention to what's going on around you, and when and where to stop those cosplayers for photos.
Artist Alley:
These are the folks I came for. And a few of them slipped in before I knew it!
+
Matthew, Emily, and Christina were just so friendly and cool, and convenient being all in the same spot! I wish I could have hung out with you folks more. Oh and Matt (AmericanNinjaX) You fuggin ROCK dude, thanks again for helping me!
And then there was Arshes and Andrew, who were in the same waddling boat as me and Drew. And they were really good sports hanging out with us on the floor. ^_^
Exhibiters and retailer:
Eh...seemed pretty typical, though the UDON booth was raking it in with the Darkstalkers tribute! I made some intersting connections and picked of some nice books and another piece for my Armored Core model.
Events:
Short version, Christina's
What work did I do:
What? I was supposed to work on stuff? XD
You'll see soon enough, there's not much for you folks here though.
